Built for real portfolios

Most calculators assume you're starting from zero with a single flat SIP. This one assumes the opposite — that you probably already have some money invested, expect your SIP to grow with your income, and will add lumpsums whenever life produces one.

A tip for using it well

Start simple — set your current corpus and SIP, ignore step-up and lumpsums at first — then layer in a step-up percentage, and finally add any lumpsums you realistically expect. Watching the total move as you add each piece makes it obvious which lever matters most for your specific numbers.

Frequently asked questions

What does this calculator do that the individual ones don't?+

Real portfolios are rarely just one thing — you might already have money invested, add a SIP every month, increase that SIP annually, and occasionally drop in a bonus or maturity payout. This calculator models all four together in a single projection instead of making you add up separate tools by hand.

How are the lumpsum injections timed?+

Each lumpsum you add lands at the start of the year you choose — a lumpsum set to "Year 1" is invested immediately, one set to "Year 5" waits until the start of the fifth year before it starts compounding.

What if I don't have an existing corpus or any lumpsums?+

Set "Currently invested" to zero and remove all lumpsum rows — the calculator then behaves exactly like a step-up SIP calculator (or a plain SIP calculator, if you also set step-up to 0%).

Why does the chart show gold dashed lines?+

Each dashed line marks the year a lumpsum lands, so you can see exactly where each injection causes the portfolio value to jump ahead of the smoother SIP-only growth.
